When RuSsMan comes to visit, get your travel on to Chucktown as well.......it'll take two to steal these bad boys, they are HEAVY.

Tour2ma is correct, two m400's bridged (I think I read that they bridge to 500wpc, not that it matters) is what I have in mind to run them.

Also, Tour, what did you settle on for an amp on your CA's? Did you try them with an m1.5t? Just curious...

Settle? Moi? I ran the 1.5 for a while, then a couple channels out of a Sunfire. But since their all spoken for in the HT, I took a page out of GG's manual and bagged a couple M-4.0's to bridge. :D

BTW you got mail (and your PM inbox is full)....
    More later,

    SHEEEESH......

Under normal circumstances, I'd think that my 500wpc per side was manly but I'm suffering from power envy. :D

On your 4.0's, bridged, do you use a 'Y' adapter or just run one IC to the left input on the amp? I can't remember for certain, but I THINK the diagram on the back of the m400 call for a Y for mono operation.

    Russ,

What would you want with some ancient, garage sale looking, open baffle, 5-ways for anyway?

The 4.0 calls for a Y-adapter. I believe the 1.0 uses left ch only...

Did you nab a Sonic Halography box as well from your seller? The CA's don't need it IMO, but it is still fun to play with.

I guess that I'll need to pick up a pair of Y adaptors.....

I've got a C-1 preamp with SH built in so I can play with it that way...

Those thing are power hungry! 1200w is some serious power. I wonder how they sound compared to the SRT mains. Yeah, I know it's not fair because of SDA but both speakers were made to produce BIG sound.

Timeing is the most important consideration. My 20 YEAR reunion was last night and my buds called me trashed from the burgh... Pittsburgh that is...:D

I spoke with a few individuals that I should have never lost touch with. I have been an engineer more years than I care to think. Time really flies while liveing our dream! I am blessed and very appreciative every day.

    Troy,

No problem bro, but in case you need a stop I'm always up late and I'm only 15 minutes off I-95. Have a safe trip and don't speed on 95 in Maryland, those state boys love out-of-town folks.
