You have so many choices it's not funny but if you want a sub that can do both music and movies extremely well then I suggest getting a Velodyne DD-10 or 12.
You can shop around check out all the offerings from so many companies to your blue in the face but the DD series from Velodyne are rock solid and will do the job better then most.Dan

I would look at one of the servo controlled subs from Rythmik Audio for a sub that does both music and HT. For less money then the Velodyne DD-10 (~$1800) I think you can get better SQ and more output with Rythmik.
Now if your after a really small foot print then Velodyne is a great choice. Is it form factor or function or both that you are after. -

What do people think about the Emotiva ultra Sub 12 or the Velodyne Impact. I currently have the PSW 505 and am looking to upgrade. The 505 does well for the price and most instances, but it flubbs out on quick tight bass.

i have noticed however that i can get two psw110a's for the price of just one psw125.(if i shop around) could someone comment on this statemaent please? and aslo it is for my bed room 12 by 16 feet and i am good with tools of all sorts.
