13 guage silver coated wire. I want to try these but the lack of an insulator has me a bit concerned. I was thinking of pairing them with an Odessey or Emo amp, a Kraco 8track and a set of Cervin Vegas...

Usually I am, but tonight, my rig sits silent as a wicked thunderstorm rolls through. I won't be plugging it back in any time soon, so I thought I would try and have a bit of fun given all the wire/cable threads of late. The Gear... John! These are exactly what you need to pair with the tube monoblocks!!! I knew there had to be something worthy of those pieces of ear candy. I figure you could cut trash bags and wrap the wire with it for an insulator

Duct Tape? I have yet to try that. Do I use the metal tape or the plastic stuff? I fear the metal tape may bo too expensive for this project, but if it really makes that much difference, I suppose I can try it.The Gear... I saw one that looked really amazing and only cost five dollars per connection. It was guaranteed you would love it long time. I think the "Sham-WOW" guy said they were "GI tested-GI approved", so they must be first rate stuff. The Gear... Use both (and also the hunting camo variation too) in triple collagen helix braid. I can personally attest to its contribution--it's truly blows me away with a dry slam and such emotional bass extension.polkaudio Monitor 5 Series II

I heard that using both can be dangerous if not done correctly. Is there a technique you use to minimize the risk of crossing the streams? I remember Dr. Venkman saying that crossing the streams could even be fatal. The Gear... Mr. Jekyll respectfully disagrees. Using anything less than #13 AWG coat hangers and a duct tape triple collagen helix braid will be insufficient for a system of that magnitude.polkaudio Monitor 5 Series II

What does Mr. Hyde have to say on the subject? A Google search indicates that they seem to be of two minds on the subject. The Gear... Tool dip my friend it's the best in this case, But i'd go one step further and also run them through PEX tubing for that "air insulator" effect and no banana plugs it would just muddy the sound unless you can find pure bright heavy brass:cool: -
You realize those have to be conditioned with di-lithium power for 100 hrs before they will sound good.
