    the picture is a limited edition laser engraving on cultured marble (i.e. acrylic) by John Wills titled Sitka by the Sea that was sold thru the Washington Mint back in the late-70's/early 80's. They did a lot of military themes as well as I recall. I bought this one in the CG Exchange on Sitka back in '80 or '81 while I was on one of my rounds thru the CG's 17th district when I was stationed in Kodiak, AK. (I did medical equipment repair while in the service back then) Its part of a 'collage series' they did. It caught my eye back then and has been hanging in my study (throughout the years and various abodes) ever since.

    As an admitted grumpy(sometimes) older guy who from time to time hijacked a thread bitching about something, it seems a couple of highly esteemed(by some here)members, many with thousands upon thousands of posts, have a problem with anyone posting about gear they have come across.

    I am always interested, and i would never assume they are doing it as a nanner nanner, whatever that is.

    This same "grand" polkie has mentioned in one of his eearlier moanfests, that fifty dollar yard sale finds are really just beneath him and the site, and people are just bragging when posting about good deals.
