the left tweeter is missing the upper line of black goop they put on at the factory. wondering if this is affecting sound.

Not really crazy about the tweets in these anyway.

hope to find out what tweets to get for tl upgrade, if not too expensive, will replace anyway, so not a big deal, just curious.

I doubt it, but you could put some epoxy on there if it makes you feel better.

RDO-198 from Polk, I think there about $48.00 each shipped for CP members.

Oh by the way Humpty Dumpty wasn't pushed, He committed suicide.

I'm thinking black GE silicone would both bond and dampen any possible vibration. I never thought about why it's there in the first place, but epoxy seems to me to be "harder" than what was originally used.

RDO-194 is the direct replacement for the SL-2000, and if you TL by adding a 5.8uf bypass capacitor, the RDO-198 (direct replacement for SL-3000) is used. Both models cost about $50 each if you mention you are a member of CP, but do not use RDO-198's unless you modify the crossover by adding the 5.8 bypass uf cap.

Either way, due to the age of the crossover components and what was available at the time, a rebuild is in order for the best possible performance. TL'd 2B's are pure gold.
