New House need suggestions for setup

Hello, so we are buying a new house and this is going to mess up my HT setup as it currently sits.
The new house has a living room of 22ft long by 16ft wide 22x16 but it is open on the top left corner of the room about 7foot i guess into the kitchen/breakfast area which is at least the same size by looking at it.
I currently have the LSI setup w/ a velodyn spl1000 for the sub but i don't think that sub is going to be enough to fill that much space with the room open like it is.
Room also has a fireplace so totally gonna throw off the sidewall on left channel compared to right channel front.
What do you suggest i do for the sub in this room?


The other problem...master bedroom sigh. There isn't enough room with the dimensions/door placement for my rtia5's in the room. The speakers will have to be downgraded to most likely a wall speaker for fronts/rears or have the fronts on stands but very close to the sides of tv maybe a 12"-16" off the wall at most and about 5foot at most between them.
Should i sell the rtia5's and get a second pair of a1's or purchase a second set of Tannoy DC4's and use these as fronts/rears since a much smaller footprint than even the rtia1s and they are duel concentric monitors so great for nearfield or would this be a bad idea?

I'd give the sub a shot and see how it goes. If it's not enough, consider picking up a matching subwoofer, stepping up to a more powerful Velodyne, or moving to a JL Audio or DIY sub system

If you're gonna go in-wall, I'd go with Sonance. They make some pretty nice stuff. Or the LCi-RTS stuff. Personally I wouldn't go for anything less, but that's my taste. On-wall speakers would work as well. The top end of the Atrium lineup have some pretty sweet punch, or you can put A1s on some wall-mounts.

Pretty sure the sub won't be enough as i've had it in a room with like problems and it wasn't enough omph for me. A second 10 might solve the problem but also open to other sub ideas that can get it done with a single sub.

On the bedroom another set of rtis might be the way to go but i know i'm gonna be missing the rti5's going with the a1's on wall. However, i don't want to purchase an whole new setup really. Would rather stay rti or maybe add to my tannoys unless the tannoys are a bad idea for this setup. Currently they are my computer speakers but get very little use as i tend to use the headphones instead.

I would sell the A5's and get A3's on stands for the front...or even RTI6's if you can find a pair.

Above suggestin for the bedroom setup.

How big are the A3's though? The amount of room is limited between door ways and i need a small foot print.

Yeah this helps. I know the A3's are gonna be too big so it's a1's or go with the Tannoys which are a good bit smaller than the a1's. Just curious how this setup would work being they are near field speakers.
