Totem makes an unbelievable product that is a class above the rest. The interesting thing about Totem is that they have a full line of speakers that all seem to perform at reference levels. How many companies can claim that?

Well Dan,
I don't know what to say because I couldn't work some time in during my brief appearance at Polk Fest 2010 to swing by your store and FINALLY hear some Totems! The others I've heard and they're OK...I like the Mythos for HT, B&Ws never 'did' it for me. And the Klipsch are probably a good in your face speaker for HT speaker.
But somehow from reading all your posts about your love for Totem I suspect that if I heard them--that would be my call! But that will have to wait until we actually meet some day soon. Till then, trust your own judgments!

I would love to sit and listen not to mention explore their entire line. Beautiful speaker line. the catalog is well done not to mention the beautiful German women they paint the pages with. I'm so in. Totem does this as well if you check out there advertisements. I think it's killer to have a sexy women in the pages of a Audio ad.
Did I mention I'm German?Dan

But these are extremely high on my list and yes Red like FIRE will be the finish of choice. Just click on the color choice to check them out.

To fill in the Surround duty , these are the ones which also will be in FIRE finish.

I may use another one as the center or go with this but they don't have the FIRE finish , I will have to talk to someone about that.

My mind is not made up yet but this is what I'm peaking at. Also for a sub I'm probably leaning towards this bad man

Full disclosure: I have only heard two of the four - the DT and Klipsch. Love the sound of both, so tough decision. I give slight edge to DT, if only for their versatility and reduced footprint.Do you hear that buzzing noise?

I have heard Totems Rainmakers,Model One and Mani 2 and really liked them all. However looking at the Tribe iii I can't help but see a big disconnect between the driver/box quality vs price.$1750ea. for what appears to be a basic painted MDF box with a $40 SEAS tweeter and a pair of smalll custom midbass drivers.Dan

But couldn't that be said for all speakers?
Personally at that price point I would expect to see an enclosure with more creativity and craftsmanship and more advanced drivers. For example. http://www.focal.com/en/home-audio-loudspeakers/hifi-speakers/floorstanding-speakers/chorus-826-v.php.
Focal is a world leader in driver design and the enclosure looks like it's worthy of a $3500. pair of speakers. -
