We spell honor, they spell honour. The list of different spellings between our two countries is endless.
LOL A former coworker of mine had me check a letter for her before she sent it out. It was fine, but I had to have her correct her British spellings reminding her that this wasn't England or Jamaica.

Every time I have to spell that word, the thing that pops into my head is Helen Hunt in "As Good As It Gets" (yeah whatever I'm ****), when she's writing a letter and says "con-science? That can't be right" or something to that effect. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -

Labtop when laptop is clearly meant.
Wondering when wandering is clearly meant. You wander down a path. You wonder what is down the path you are wandering on.
Contrarily, "labtop" is actually being coined by some technology companies to describe a stationary lab of laptops that are on desks instead of in a cart."Dr Dunn admitted that his research could also be interpreted as evidence that women are shallower than men. "coined terms" are still bogus.
Granted, "coined terms" aren't official, but there have been many cases where a term becomes commonly used, and ends up in the dictionary.
Google anyone?"Dr Dunn admitted that his research could also be interpreted as evidence that women are shallower than men. Yeah but it takes a decade or more to get it done and even then, it has to have a common enough usage with a common definition across all usage. The word "ain't" which isn't a word is in the dictionary and it took hundreds of years to get there. Even at that, it's still listed as slang and improper usage because it is a contraction for words that do not exist. It commonly refers to "am not" as in "I ain't gonna skin no roadkill what you dun gon and picked up with tha **** scoopin' shovel, Cletus."
Proper terms would be "I am not going to skin any roadkill that you picked up with the **** scooping shovel, Cletus."
The proper contraction of "am not" would be amn't which...yeah, say it out loud. "Ai not" though? Yeah, say that out loud too. Doesn't fly.
So, like your mom said, just because all your friends jumped off the bridge doesn't mean you should do it too (or "doesn't mean it makes it right").Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Another one that just kills me is the improper use of "less" vs "fewer".
Just so's you knows, it is less for words that are singular--less water, less ozone.
Fewer for words that are plural--fewer people, fewer jelly beans.
I've seen that one used improperly in advertisements, news reports, all over the place and it just chaps my ****$.
Rant over, carry on."Don't forget to change your politician. They are like diapers they need to be changed regularly, and for the same reason." -
Irregardless is not a word. Regardless of what anyone who actually uses it thinks.
Also, if you could care less that means you actually give a hoot to some extent. If you wish to be so dismissive of your opponent and communicate to them that they are of absolutely no consequence to you in any manner to even garner a "meh" then you would tell them that you couldn't care less. This implies that your level of caring is so low that it is impossible for you to care any less than you already do.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

I agree with this one. Although it's not necessarily "singular" vs "plural." It's "things you can count" vs "things you can't." But yes, in very formal / public places people get this wrong and it drives me insane. I wanted to applaud the manager of my local grocery store the other day because their express line actually says "12 items or fewer."If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
I see lots of then vs than.... and No Jstas there is no Canuck way to spell either.
