Feeling Really Bummed Out Today

I have to say I am feeling really bummed out today. I received some very bad news that an ex co-worker friend had been tragically killed in a head on collison last week. My friend was a lady named Angela, who I had the pleasure of working with at Polk Audio for a decade. Angie worked in the sales and marketing department at Polk and some of you may have had the pleasure of dealing with her. She had a very vibrant personality and was a very caring person. Certainly once you knew her you would never forget her. It is at a time like this that makes you realize that George, Matthew and Sandy (the Polk founders) created more than a company. I know several other members of the Polk family have contacted me today and we are all still very shocked and deeply saddened.

When I first started to work for Polk, Angie was my cube mate, along with Chet and Dave we were the CS department. She was warm, friendly, smart and beautiful, inside and out.
A sad day for the Polk Family, that's for sure.

Sad news indeed..I am sorry for the loss of your friend. But you mentioned something that I think bears repeating,,the polk family that George,Matthew and Sandy created,,cherish it,,they don't come along that often anymore. The fact that you mention Angela and Polk family,,speaks volumes.
    Sincerest condolences to Angela's familes.

    I know how you feel...

About 25 years ago I, too, worked for a family atmosphere company, and lost a contemporary friend and co-worker in a head-on on Galveston Island.

My sincere condolences to the entire Polk family...
