Bought a used, non-working B&K AVR-202 that I am repairing. I need a manual and a remote, open to suggestions. Thanks.

I traced the problem with the receiver down to a bad pc board which handled the bass management. It was putting a loud hum on the speaker outputs. So I contacted the people in Buffalo, New York that are handling the B&K servicing to inquire about repair parts. Their reply was that they don't sell parts and suggested I send the unit to them. They wanted $100.00 minimum charge. I was able to find a second B&K 202 for parts. The owner had all the original packaging, manuals and remote. After swapping the pc boards the original 202 is working great and it sounds great. I got a lot of requests to turn it down yesterday. So I now have a good working unit, lots of repair parts and a remote. Let me add, I love B&K gear. Cheers.

The AVR202 was a fantastic receiver. I remember those days of sitting on the couch just amazed on how good it made any speakers connected sound.
After your done playing around with the 202 , move up to the avr307 and discover a whole new level of sonic purity . They did some refinements. Better yet just skip over all that and go directly for the AVR507s2.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
I'll wait for another person to post a non-working one (AVR-307) on Ebay. That's how this whole thing came about. The guy posted it on Ebay as non-working for $75 bucks plus shipping. So I thought, how bad can it be ? Needless to say I am very pleased with the outcome. What are the major differences between the 202, 307 & 507 ? Is there a feature set outlined somewhere ????
