Surroundbar 3000: buzzing from inputs #2 & #3

I've had a Surroundbar 3000 IHS for almost four months now.
Extremely satisfied with the sound!
Optical input connected to Panasonic Blu-Ray player.
Input#2 was connected to a DirecTV satellite box.

When I first got the unit, tried connecting an XM radio receiver.
When the receiver's wall wart was plugged in, though,
a buzzing or hissing noise would come through the SB 3000.
OK ... RFI from the wall wart ... stopped using the XM.

This week I added a TiVo to the AV system
& rewired all the connections.

Now, there's a buzz (or hum or hiss ... take your pick) from the SB3000
whenever input#2 and input#3 are selected.
Even when no audio cables are connected to the inputs!
Even when audio cables ARE connected & shorted to ground.

The noise varies with volume control: Turn up the volume
and the noise gets louder.

No noise when input#1 (optical) is selected.

Any ideas or suggestions?
TIA for y'all's help!

I've got the exact same problem. So I thought I would use input 1 via Optical cable.... but although it sounds great, there seems to be some sound skipping problems. It looks like the sound is fading in when coming from silence so I miss sounds and dialogues sometimes.
