Xover Rebuild

Hi All; I have dry installed new caps and resistors on my xover board. What a tight fit! Do both the silver mica caps get removed and jumpers installed? Also there are no polarity issues with the new caps? They are not marked any way I can see as to polarity. Thanks for any help!

Nice work! The film caps are non-polar so no worries there. The prevailing wisdom is that the silver micas are unnecessary with better caps so can (should) be removed. Based on the schematic, I don't think you're supposed to replace them with jumpers, you probably should wait for someone else to answer on that.

just de-solder and toss the silver micas--nothing goes back in their place--good job.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

Hi On; Sorry for the jumper comment. That would defeat having the cap installed in the first place. WOOOOOOOOPS!
