    Hi Toolforlifefan,

    I'm just now getting into restoring my CRS+, and what started as a simple tweeter upgrade is becoming quite a new love project for me. I was wondering if you have available any rings for my CRS+ available. They are from 1989 and in good condition, but have heard great things about your rings improving the sound as well as protecting the screw holes in the cabinet.

    Beleive it or not I just got around to putting in my tweeter rings in my 1.2tl's, what a job it turned out to be tearing down the speakers, grinding away some of the cross brace's to get them to fit, to me it was a pain in the **** and took most of the day to get it done.

    While I was in there I put in the binding post ring as well as the crossover plate ring, I still have to put together the right speaker that I will do in the morning.

    Funny thing I found was the top tweeter in both speakers was the 1/4" connector was broke, the little piece of plastic it's mounted to had snapped, it was hanging on by the little wire. They still work all I did was put some hot glue underneth it. My guess is they snapped from the weight or I tugged it a little to hard when taking the crossovers out, this is the better guess IMO..

    Wonder if pfb can give me any tips on how to take care of this with Polk Audio. LOL!!!

    I hope this is the last time I strip these down.

    Come on Larry! You got my hopes up thinking you said you had some rings and tweeter brackets for sale.:frown: Just let us know when you do please. It sounds like I am not the only one who would like some (more).:wink:

    What do you think of the 1.2TL's with the rings/brackets installed?

    Larry - Thanks for the black anodized rings for my CRS+ drivers and binding posts cups. The quality is absolutely top notch and I don't just throw that word around. Also, thanks even more for the extra goodies you sent me as well.

    The SDA crossover plates look amazing, as expected of course but the old Polk logo you cut out for me is the BEST! Are the plates for the 1.2TL? I had to take a pic of the logo because it was super sweet, so thanks very much!!

    I'm going to get some custom work done by you for next years' CES, so if you have any ideas in advance....put them down on paper.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    I'm glad the package made it to you, I knew you would love the old school Polk logo. The crossover plates will fit the 1.2-1.2tl's

    When you dig in to the CRS+'s let me know how they come out. For sure we will do something for CES but we will do it for RMAF as well...
