Do you have any soundtracks or "music from or inspired by the movie" albums/CDs in your collection that you actually listen to?

I have no idea how I came upon it, but I have Scream 3 The Album on CD and LOVE almost every song on it... There's a great song by American Pearl on it. I'd never heard of them before (10 years ago when I first acquired the CD), and haven't since then either. Quite a good song, though!

P.S. I don't even recall actually seeing the movie!!

The Dukes of Hazzard soundtrack is pretty darn good.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Hmmm...metal head in my youth and still in heart, but 'classically' trained....so oddly - "Excalibur" for Wagner because of its 'heaviness' (he would have been head banger I'm sure!) and Amadeus for Mozart because it is truly sublime music.

Hey, speaking of metal... the Heavy Metal soundtrack was one I always wanted just to get the Don Felder song of the same name. There were only a few other decent songs on there, though.

I've always liked some of the movies with great classical scores - Star Wars comes to mind, but I like them with the movie. I definitely appreciate that stuff, but never could get into an extended listening session.

The Heavy Metal soundtrack is totally a classic. Open Arms gets my lighter out every time. I also dig Queen's A Kind of Magic... not exactly a soundtrack per se, but most of the music was written for the movie Highlander. And recently the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World soundtrack is pretty decent.

+1, check out Greystoke, compposed by John Scott, great growling cello's and bassoon's, I have the Lp, the CD's just don't have the bottom end, but better than hunting down the Lp (vhtf).

I still get a kick out of 'Saturday Night Fever'

At the very end of the movie 'The Crazies', there is a stripped down version of Willie Nelson singing '"Goodday Mr. Sunshine".

If you bought the deluxe Inception BD, on the features disk is the soundtrack in DTS MA HD. I find it hard to appreciate a movie soundtrack when the film/story is carrying me away. It adds content to the presentation, but I pay little attention. Check out this soundtrack at volume. There's something for everyone.

^^^ I do love the Mag Seven score. Elmer Bernstein really nailed that one. Also, since Ron Temple mentioned Inception I'll cop to owning the 4CD box set of the Pirates of the Carribean scores. Mastering is way too loud, but a fun score for sure. Even more embarrasing, I bought a copy of Disney's Aristocats on DVD for the music. That movie made me like cafe jazz from when I was a little kid.

I am a soundtrack fiend; no idea why.

A couple of my favorites are Last of the Mohicans and Gladiator, but The Fountain is absolutely breathtaking/takes the cake for me. Death is the Road to Awe (on The Fountain) is one of the most incredible songs I've ever heard from any soundtrack.

    Other favorites:

    Abandon
Lord of the Rings (all 3)
Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels
    Snatch
    Dead Presidents
    Cadillac Records

Lawrence of Arabia as far as my favorite theme but "soundtrack".... Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas has some great tracks and the dialouge cuts are fantastic.

Actualy, now that I think about it Pulp Fiction wipes the floor with F and L in LV.
    Sounds good to me...

For a dark, brooding, luscious orignal work try Eric Clapton's...

For an eclectic, fun collection of tunes find the Original:

I agree 100%. This is BY FAR my all-time favorite soundtrack. Elfman at his absolute peak.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore
