Call Polk. They should be able to identify the speaker if it's a legitimate Polk. Won't take 5 minutes.

lol...don, i did just that. they asked me to sens all the pics i had, and a pic of the part# on the back of the tweeter which, by the way is stamped "M4"...i am enclosing that for you.
now, im just waiting for a response...cant wait
