Just bought a B&K AVR-202 for $75 bucks. The receiver won't power up. I bought it knowing this with the thought of repairing it. Anyone have any similar experience with this unit ? Also, looking for a good source of repair parts once I make a diagnosis. All input welcome. Looking forward to getting this thing working again. Cheers.

Did you pop the top and see if any fuses are blown ? That would be first, see if any boards are fried too. That may dictate if it's even worth fixing. As far as repairs go, I don't know who's handling it now that they pretty much shut down.

Agreed , it sounds like a fuse.
As far as repair , B&K moved to Ca from NY. They are still in business but I don't know anything else yet. I'm expecting a turn around.

The avr202 is well worth trying to fix as it's a fantastic sounding receiver. I have Installed many of them way back in the day before the AVR307 came out.

Haven't received it yet. I will know more when I have it in hand. I heard B&K was now being serviced on the Left Coast. They was a company that bought the holdings or so I thought.

Check the fuses right at the power cord. They where the ones that blew. You might even get so lucky and there will be a replacement in the cap. Let me know.
