Sound cuts out

This happened twice today over a few hours of listening to the radio.

Problem - the sound cuts out with a gentle "pop" sound. Everything's totally silent for a couple of seconds then sound comes right back. All lights stay lit. Since I had the radio on in the other room and it continued to play I know the station didn't cut out.

I'm thinking a tube in my Pre? Maybe the power supply rectifier?

Any ideas?

    Is it as windy in Seattle right now as it is in Puyallup? Just askin'.... power surge??

    Yep, it's been windy all afternoon.

    Maybe a power surge that affects my main system but the system in the other room keeps playing? It's a possibility...

    Never know. I'm drunk posting anyway :biggrin: looking at all the branches I need to clean up........again:mad:

    Yeah... I totally cleaned my driveway about 3 weeks ago now it's buried again in pine needles and whatnot.

    I hear ya. I've lived in my house going on 10 years, surrounded by pine trees. Every year we have several of these wind storms and you have to clean up all of the branches and crap. They should be BARE by now!
