Hey guys,

I just got a job with an av company, I am excited but very nervous about working with equipment.......well, that is a little above what i could ever afford. I was just going to post some of the brands and see what you guys thought of them. I havent even heard of some of these, but during the interview i got to see several of the brands, not in action.

The owner also has a headphone bar.... have you guys ever hear of these?

The owner seems a little "particular" about his gear and the quality of audio, I am hoping that i am not walking into a bad situation in hopes of doing something i love. I guess i am woried that he is extremely pickey and I may not know enough. (if that makes sense)

Here is the link to his site,

http://www.ltav.net/

It isnt fully up an running yet but he is finally turning his passion into a business, he has home remodeling experence (about 18 years ) So i think he has a good mind for business. The list of gear that he uses is at the bottom of the page, in particuler he likes Audio Note speakers. In my interview he said that the speaker itself has a vacume tube in it.... I have never heard of this.

Anyway, I was just looking at getting a little feedback on what you guys thought of his gear site.

Thanks

Very cool! You'll get first hand experience with gear and not have to spend your $ on it.

Try not to worry too much about "not knowing enough". It's just part of any new job. You'll pick things up faster than you think.

    Congrats!

Congratulations jarrita. If you have the passion for the hobby enough to make a living, you do not have to worry about lack of experience as your passion and dedication will entice him to provide you with the necessary experience and you and him (the owner) will be a happy campers. The main goal is to always try to find a job that matches your life passion(s) as that almost always determines your success in life.

    Congrats on the new Job!
Years ago I jumped from the custom installation to the mfg'r side. I had many worrries working with gear i would never have enough money to outfit my home with. I jumped in with both feet and can say its been 1 hell of a ride. Enjoy it and make it fun before you know it you may find you audio gear is valued at more than your home value. Heck its someone else who is paying for the gear you are playing with in the begining.
