Well said. We are all different and have different tastes and requirements.

That being said, I'll stick with the $50K+ rig with stellar recordings.

I can't afford the $50k+ rig because the wife will want a $50k+ ring. lol

I want the stellar recording on CD so I can rip it to my file server for playback on my Squeezebox. Having a long playlist of classical music is heavenly.

I don't know Ben. Now, I have not heard any 24/96 format songs, but comparing any of the songs from Peter Gabriel's "So" 24/96 DVD to the "So" SACD is absolutely in favor of the SACD. The SACD sounds so much better than the 24/96 video DVD of the same songs. Now, could it be the mastering, absolutely. Not sure if that' what makes the SACD better or not. But it is better.

Ooops, I made my post look stupid by leaving out a couple letters. It should have read "I have not heard many 24/96 format songs...." Not "any" as I accidentally posted. That should make more sense, otherwise I would have been comparing formats I have not heard before, which is not true.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Alright guys, where do you get your SHM-SACD's from. The Stones and the Who sound very tempting.
