paint to bubble when its drying? I am painting the HT room to be and keep getting these wet paint bubbles on the drywall...in spots that have been patched with drywall mud and then primed? When I scrape the bubble, I get both the paint layer and drywall layer peeled-off ???:frown:

Even after it's dried, the bubble is still there?
Did you use two different kinds of surface coating (1 oil based, 1 water based)?..... ><////(*> -
I scraped the larger bubbles before they completely dried. Both are water based. My guess is some type of of temperature difference between the wall and the cool air when I opened the windows to air the place out ???

my experience is has been moisture- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

usually moisture is the cause and even a slighly damp spot could cause a bubble...if the difference in temps caused some condensation.. but otherwise the temp shouldnt cause bubbles...at least I have never seen that....

It is quite odd...due I ran the dehumidifier all last night before painting today.
Could it be the level of overall paint fumes in the air....all the bubbles I noticed were in a narrow stairway where I painted both sides of the walls. Hmmm -
...unfortunately "SMOKE" or mosture can cause the problem. Wash with tsp

If there has been alot of rain and moisture it could take a week to re-acclimate2-channel: Modwright KWI-200 Integrated, Dynaudio C1-II Signatures

Not sure but I feel the wall may need to be sealed by primer first.

You always need to put a coat of primer over areas of drywall mud, tape, and spackle. If you don't have bubbles, you'll have cracks. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Sometimes using the wrong "nap" on your roller will cause that. Make sure you're using the right thickness rollers for the texture depth of the walls you're painting.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
