Just had the crap scared out of me

Man, I just woke up to really loud pounding on my door. So I grab a gun, and look through the peep hole... it's the cops!

I'm freaking out thinking about everything I could have possibly done, thinking maybe it's time to beat a hasty retreat out the back... when I decide to open the door a bit.

Well, apparently, I lost my cell phone, didn't realize it and had a missing persons report filed on me.

    Why would you think of running? Lost your phone and someone thought you went missing? Sounds weird.

    I've had some bad experiences with police.

    Idk man, I found my phone after sending a bunch of emails to it.. I have like a million missed calls... apparently I haven't had my phone for a week.

    I don't know anyone on here in person. It was my parents that called the police. Apparently, they called a million times, and then called everyone I've sent a message to in the past whatever number of days. When everyone they talked to said they haven't seen me or heard from me in a while (especially after one of them was a group member who said I didn't show up for our meeting), they called the police.

    They are very dramatic like that. I asked why they didn't email me.

    So, everyone they talked to talked to everyone they know who knows me and then when I found my phone I had to explain, much to everyone's disappointment, that I had not died.

    I dunno, maybe it's me, but a knock on the door and the first thing you grab is a gun ? Could of been Girl Scouts looking for some cash for the cookies you ate. Besides, never knew a burgler who knocks on the door first. Your a tad paranoid my friend, or you made lots of enemies in your travels.

    A knock and a pounding are two different things. When someone beats on the door, I usually get the impression that it isn't gonna be a friendly visit. However, I always carry a gun, so if I hadn't been woken, I would have had it on my hip anyhow. And yes, I've made my enemies.

    ((not to mention that crime around universities generally comes with a knock. We get notices all the time about armed robbery. Generally, someone knocks on the door, no mask or anything and expects that someone will answer. When they do, the gun is raised and the burglar comes in, makes everyone hand over phones and laptops, then he leaves. Most students have roommates, and all students have laptops/phones... most don't have guns, so this type of robbery carries little risk and offers a decent reward. None of them ever get caught))
