I think he has "defiantly" not seen a meth addict before.
They also tend to not show teeth when they smile because their teeth end up looking like alternating licorice Chiclets and roaches covered in fecal matter.
Yes I have. My little brother died from it and I use to be a bit of a coke head myself many years ago. BTW: He took a piss test and passed in that interview. But if he is on drugs I'd have to say it's meth.“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain -
I'm guessing peyote. I mean... he's a winning F-18/warlock with tiger's blood and Adonis DNA. To simply deny that would make your face melt and your children weep over your exploded body.I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

As I said earlier - piss tests are all but useless when it comes to drugs like coke and even meth. That stuff is out of your system in like 2 or 3 days. YOu could do it every weekend and still pass a piss test every Wednesday. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
For those not sure, here:
The Faces of Meth
Charlie Sheen not on meth...well, not discernibly:
Charlie Sheen after getting out of rehab for cocaine and alcohol abuse
Charlie Sheen last night on the news
If he's not on meth, he's on something. Then again, he's twitchy erratic and won't sit still just like most meth addicts. If it was like PCP or something similar, he'd be out of it but paranoid and probably hallucinating. It could be speed which is like meth but not exactly the same. Speed is an amphetamine and meth is an amphetamine derivative.
Speed makes people feel wide awake, excited and chatty. Clubbers take it because it gives them the energy to dance for hours without getting exhausted. It's impossible to sit still or sleep on speed. The come down can make users feel irritable and depressed and can last for one or two days. Speed makes some people panicky. They sniff a lot in a short space of time and hallucinate.
Meth short-term effects can include:
increased attention and decreased fatigue, increased activity (hyperactive), decreased appetite, euphoria (really freakin' happy for no good reason), increased respiration (heavy or labored breathing, somtimes seems like hyperventilating), hyperthermia (sweat alot even under cool conditions)
Long-term effects can include: Dependence and addiction psychosis, paranoia, hallucinations, mood disturbances, Repetitive motor activity, stroke, weight loss
Meth is more refined and more potent than speed and the come down from it can be rapid and crashing which is very unsettling to the user and puts them in fight of flight mode. A speed high can last for days, gradually dying down over that period with the most intense reactions happening in the first 4-8 hours.
If Sheen isn't on meth, I'll bet he's at least on speed. I think the signs of speed use fit his behavioral patterns better though.
Keep in mind too that Charlie Sheen is only 45 years old and last night, his own father who is 70 years old looks younger and in better health.

I was mocking your inattentive use of a spell checker since the word "defiantly" doesn't really fit the context of your statement or the idea you were seemingly trying to convey. I didn't really care if you've actually seen a meth addict or not.
Meth, speed, cocaine and other such uppers have a short life in your system. They don't hang around long because they are metabolized in your organs which get flushed daily by your waste handling systems. Marijuana, PCP and other such depressants are easy to detect in urine tests because they hang around in fatty tissue and do so for days, even weeks if you are a habitual user.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

I got got all of my knowledge "first hand" and you were pretty spot on. Meth is speed . There are different "recipes" that produce various effects but meth is a wicked beast. There are various pharmaceutical strains that are more like your description of speed. Meth on the other hand is often a caustic home brew that would strip paint, crank a tractor and rust stainless steel.
It's been a few years since I did any drugs thank God. But one look at Charlie and it all comes back quite clearly. That man is in the throws of serious addiction. Too bad he thinks 12 step programs are a cult. One thing I will say is that if and when he reaches out for help, it will probably be an AA that grabs his hand.-Kevin

Yeah, the NARC who did the drug identification training said "All meth is speed but not all speed is meth". Speed is a general term for amphetamines and there are a bunch. Everything from regular old Ecstasy (MDMA) to meth (methamphetamine) and even stuff like ephedrine is categorized under "speed". Then again, all illicit drugs have multiple names both legit/scientific and "street" names. When you have an unconscious person getting ready to check out and no one seems to "know" what's going on, you usually have to take a good guess based on symptoms and collected evidence at the scene 'cause the rest of the crackheads would rather watch their needle buddy check out one last time than get snagged for possession. Even though in NJ EMT's don't push drugs, a medic can and if you don't get the drug ID right, certain treatments for one drug can kill someone who is actually on a different drug. Gotta be careful.
Oh, hey, didja know that methamphetamine is an FDA approved treatment for ADHD and exogenous obesity? It's actually marketed in the USA under the trademark name Desoxyn.

I was wondering if anybody was going to catch that, "defiantly" is exactly what I meant as in "he knows he's out there but boldly doesn't give a rat's **** what anybody thinks and will continue to be (out there) regardless of the consequences".
But I do have to say it is so refreshing to know that there is someone on CP who seems to know absolutely everything about everything and is so willing to share such a vast library of knowledge (built up over many decades of personal experience I'm sure) with the rest of us simpletons who obviously lack the mental capacity to acquire, retain and understand such knowledge and for that I am truly grateful and humbled by your mere presence.“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain -

I watched a re-run of 2.5 men last night...seems to me his personal life is very similar to his character on the show. He drinks, pays for sex, and sleeps with many women.
Funny thing is that the shows gets great ratings, but so many people now despise him as a real person. Generally speaking - isn't this a bit of a double standard? -
Lots of people liek Dexter too, but hate serial killers. Is that a double standard? Or are most people smart enough to distinguish fiction from real life?If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I don't know why I dislike her, but my wife was watching Nancy Grace, last night and Grace was harping on the fact that Child Services had not yet been involved with Sheen to her knowledge. The LAPD must have been wathcing her show.

You don't need legal grounds now days all you need is a complaint filed of possible abuse (true or false it doesn't matter) and CPS can take the kids and sort it out later.“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain -

OOOK, so Michael C. Hall is secretly a serial killer. Point is why do people watch behavior that people generally find offensive, fiction or non-fiction, but get on their high horse when these celebs get busted or mess up in their 'real lives?' Trashy subject matter is what gets ratings when it comes to TV.
I have no idea what you're trying to say. Trashy subject matter gets ratings, but people recognize the difference between real and make believe, which you seem to have trouble with. You can enjoy war movies and find real war unpleasant. You can watch movies or shows about murder and find murder reprehensible. So you can also watch a show about misogyny and drug use and enjoy it, but recognize that someone who is a misogynist and drug addict in REAL LIFE is not a good thing.
TV / movies / etc are fiction, and there are no consequences to them (mostly). That's why it's often called "escapist." In the real world there are consequences to what Charlie is doing, both for himself and those around him (his kids, in particular). If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
