Prayer request for my wife

Well 2011 isn't turning out to be much better than 2010. As many of you know I had my fair share of health issues in 2010. My wife was very patient and understanding through them all. We both appreciated the comments and prayers we got from this forum. I am in need of some warm thoughts and prayers again, this time however for my wife.

My wife has 2 bad knee's and 2 ruptured/slipped discs. We just got her some injections for her back and those haven't worked so she?s looking at another set next month potentially. But that isn?t even what this is all about.

For the past 5 days she has had a debilitating headache. She is one of those that just deals with the pain, so she kept working but basically collapsed after work. Due to the number of days it has been going on I finally forced her to go to the Dr. today after she had to call off work because it was so bad.

I just got off the phone with her and need some massive prayers. The Dr. gave her some meds (forget if they were antibiotics or just pain killers) and told her if it doesn't go away in 2 days they need to do a CAT scan because she suspects it might be a tumor in my wife's brain.

I honestly don't know what I will do if this is the case, so some prayers that its just a really bad migraine or that is just up and disappears would be greatly appreciated.

our prayers are with you, and have faith, they do incredible things in hospitals and clinics every day, curing people who, just a short time ago would have been lost.

    I wish you peace.

I would ask the Dr about the possibility of a dissecting aneurysm and push for CT/MRI sooner rather than later. A tumor will probably not blow up and kill you, an aneurysm can.

If it hurts more when she puts her chin to her chest, think meningitis. Antibiotics might be a reasonable course for a day or two if that is the case.

These are by no means the only possibilities, but it doesn't hurt to ask more questions.

I'll keep you both in my thoughts.

Prayers sent your way. Even if it does turn out the worst (brain tumor) don't give up hope. I know someone who has had a brain tumor and surgery and has been living problem free for many years. I truly hope this is not the case for her and it's just severe stress but no matter what don't lose hope.

She is on 60mg of Prednisone, Vikodin and 3 Advil for the next few days.

Hopefully if its an infection the Prednisone will fix it, otherwise we will see.

It will be what it will be, I just want her to be ok.

Not pushing for the CT yet, want to see what med's do to it

Prayers sent. Extreme back pain will cause headaches and migraines. Has she seen a chiropractor? Sometimes a realignment of the spinal column can really help. Good health starts with a healthy spine.
