It's too bad they never ended up looking that that. They ship will all-black drivers, smaller emblem and much more pronounced rubber gaskets around drivers.
I'm glad they toned down the emblems. They're are tacky and remind me of Klipsch's emblem."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -

There really are a lot excellent looking transducers out there. Some of my favorites would be:
Tidal Piano's - These speakers are easy on my eyes. Plain in some ways. Yet elegant in others. It's a speaker that say's "I'm meant to play music, and sound damned good while doing it".
Harbeth / Spendor Classic's - There is something charming about the look of the old BBC design. They have a purpose built look that say's (with a British accent no less): "I'm not here to make you tea. I'm here to play you bloody music".
Martin Logan hybrid electrostats - On the other end of the spectrum, we have the latest generation of Logan panels. They look like the spawn of an architects/home stylist's wet dream. Yet for all their aesthetic panache, they still manage to look like serious, purpose-built transducers. I like that.
Pretty much anything from Sonus Faber - These Italian beauty's are so f$#@ng sexy that I couldn't be trusted with them alone. Seriously. Those Guarneri Memento's en' 'red violin' piano gloss? Yeah.. I don't even need to listen to em' to enjoy them. The fact that they sound pretty good is merely icing on the cake.
I also like the aesthetic balance of most products from Totem Acoustic. The original LSi's look great as well. Kharma's are pretty for monkey coffins... and if the industrial/mod thing is your flavor, I find it hard to fault the Wilson Audio Sophia and Sasha.
The logans do look good and the wife likes them -

I like the simple look of my old DCM Time Window 1As. I haven't taken them out of the store room for awhile, I'll have to pull those out.

I could never pick one best looking speaker, since I find so many different looking speakers outstanding designs. Having said that, one design that stands alone in my mind is the JBL Ranger Paragon.

About 10 should do it.
(they're high efficiency horn-loaded drivers; I think the max wattage was around 200 and the overall efficiency was around 98 dbl/ 1 watt)Gallo Ref 3.1 : Bryston 4b SST : Musical fidelity CD Pre : VPI HW-19
Gallo Ref AV, Frankengallo Ref 3, LC60i : Bryston 9b SST : Meridian 565

Can't forget the Tannoy Westminster Royal SE .... massive cabinets and very imposing indeed. They aren't "sexy" pretty, but there's something about their massiveness that's crave-able!

For those who don't know, that's a 15" woofer."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Indeed...and the crossover adjustment at the bottom of the speaker (front panel) uses brass pegs for fine tuning. Also, I see a lot of these speakers with super-tweeters sitting atop the cabinet. -
Those "gaudy lookin'" woofers really need a grille covering them, IMO anyway. Impressive cabinetry !

Top to bottom, Sonus Faber IMHO are the best-looking speakers. The GamuT S-7 and S-9's are a woodworkers dream. The little ACI Emerald XL's in high gloss black were stunningly simple. The new Penaudio Cenya's are gorgeous in birch. The Harbeth Compact 7's and P3's are old school good looking. Finally, the little Totem Mites in cherry ooze beauty.Review Site_ (((AudioPursuit)))
