MW-6501 Mid Bass Driver

Are these still available new or are there suitable substitutes for this driver (from Polk or OEM)? Thanks for any info. Driver is for RTA-12s.

    I have a friend who has several extra MW 6503 midbass drivers. Would these work in place of the 6501? They look identical but not sure of the impedance matching.

    Not really, as you suspect they have specs.

    I think I found my answer here:

    Looks like the 6501 was the replacement for the 6503 so either should work.

    No, that's not right. The 6501 came first and while using a 6503 in its place may be deemed "useable" one is not the replacement for the other.
