Saw Al Dimeola last night....

Saw two shows by Al Dimeola last night, had to go to the 2nd one so I could get him to sign more stuff that I had gotten by him since the last two times my wife and I saw him:biggrin:

As always a great show! His mellowing out but being more intricate with his compositions. He did bring out hims custom Prism electric guitar to play a few tunes and his chops are certainly still there!

    Yeah, my wife and I have managed to see 5 great guitarists in the last few years...Al DiMeola/Sonny Landreth/Joe Bonamassa/Peter White and Jesse Cook!

    I am a Al Di Meola super fan. I have most of his older stuff on vinyl and everything else on lossless. Have you heard his Christmas release? I was playing it durring the holidays. I'd love to see him live. Very cool man.

    Yeah, i have that release also..good stuff. He might be very cool but he isn't terribly friendly signing stuff...

    saw al in 98 or so at the keswick theater outside philly...seemed to like his stage effects back then...lotsa smoke:tongue:..his playing that night was great, but was stuck in the carlos 2 mode.

    i was blown away by his opening act...pat martino:cool: based on history he should've been the headline..but al had the name..

    any recordings from al are sure to please for playing and sonics

    Nice , I'd like to see him. I gotta pay attention more to who is coming to down. He is one of my favorite guitar players.
