I have a Onkyo TX-SR608 and when setting up the crossover for these speakers which I have options up to 250hz. It says to check your speakers specs. for best crossover frequency which says 2500hz second order whatever that means. So what do I set the crossover freqency at ?
:)

You set it to where your subwoofer leaves off, typically 80 or 120hz.
250hz is the crossover in the speaker, not related to your needs.

Exactly. The part about "check your speaker specs" is to figure out where the bottom freuncy reponse is, so that if your speakers only go down to 80 Hz, you don't set the crossover point in your AVR to 50 Hz.
