I use the monoprice premium interconnects for the multi-channel analog outputs on my bp and they work fine. I don't have high end stuff to compare them to, but them seem awfully close to my dayton reference interconnects. +1 on the Premium Monoprice cables. They look good, work great, and did not cost a lot. I changed out all my RCA cables to these (1.5 and 3ft), and am quite satisfiedOffice:

right right.....they may not be equivalent to mit or cardas or even signal cable but if your ears have never heard these high end cables then the monoprice are more than acceptable.....also if your pockets dont allow the 400 dollar interconnect then monoprice is even more relevant....and no im not trying to start a cable war im just stating my somewhat educated opinion....and yes i am on the monoprice bandwagon....at the moment!!!!Budget 5.1 H.T. It's not that a particular cable is better or worse than another; but more about the changes in tonal character, and/or lack of grain that different cable materials/topolgies can provide.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

your absolutely right but if my ear already likes the tonal character of a monoprice cable then why change....If for some reason i feel like something is missing but i cant quite put my finger on it then yes maybe it would be time to upgrade.... IMO where monoprice cables are so cheap...this should be a starting point for everybody ....if they dont like them they can upgrade and there only out say maybe $100.00 for an entire system.... that is a bargain....but its better then dropping say five hundred on cables and still not being satisfied...again this is only my opinion ..which means nothing to my wife and kids generally....so why would it be taken seriously hear lol:biggrin:Budget 5.1 H.T. K-d , although the pre-outs of course send analog signals to the amplifier for amplifying by adding more voltage, it doesn't matter if the coaxial cable carrying them down the outside of its conductor is labeled "analog" or "digital" by the seller. These cables can differ in their characteristic impedance from around 40 ohms to the 75 ohms specified for digital connections, but the difference has no significance for your use.
Yes, sellers such as MonoPrice and the Tartan Cable division of Blue Jeans have demonstrated to savvy buyers that there's no correlation between price and sound quality in this area. You seem to have a good grasp of this reality now, but don't buy into the mythologies that the peddlers of high-priced pieces of magic wire try to keep alive despite the lack of solid evidence to support them. -
