I think I know the answer to this from you all.. most people here work in a liberal enough workplace enviroment.. but, are visable tattoos ok in the work place?

say a woman or man has one or several tatts.. and is wearing short sleeves in the office.. and everyone can see them. ok or not ok?

Not OK-- I work in a healthcare facility,,tat's and visable body piercings are not cool,,fake fingernails are taboo as well. The last thing I need is someone with a tatoo of a torpedo with "mother" inscribed starting an IV on me.

Fake fingernails....there's a topic I'd like to comment on. Ladies, they look like crap, period.

I liked Curly's fake eyeball tattoo's of eyes wide open so he could sleep and appear to be paying full attention.

I would never do it. I prefer to dress as casual as permissible (meaning, at home, I wear nothing :) )... so if I constantly had to wear certain clothing to cover a tattoo, that would bother the hell out of me. Workplaces have gone casual as of late, many places let you get away with polos, even the managers... so I mean, if it's absolutely a must... put it somewhere that just about anything covers.
