AMC is running a Clint Eastwood marathon right now!

Watching Fist Full of Dollars right now.

Then "For A Few Dollars More".

Followed by "The Good The Bad and The Ugly"

    Nice Saturday afternoon/evening!

I never liked westerns since I'm not the one who likes the "hero" movies (I hate super hero films). I had to watch both shane and good bad and ugly for a film class (actually required a lot of writing believe it or not:wink:). Shane was what I expected from a western, absolutely awful, but the good bad and ugly had a completely different feel and I loved it. By far the best western I seen and one of my favorite films period.

Sergio Leone definitely has a style all his own, look into his other films, all worthwhile IMO.

Silverado's opening sequence alone warrants its consideration...

The Searchers is probably my favorite, traditional western.

A couple of off-beat ones deserve mention...
Altman's McCabe and Mrs. Miller - Saw this for the first time a couple years ago and loved it.

Cat Ballou - Saw this for the first time about 35 years ago... Lee Marvin in his Oscar winning dual role, a Young Jane Fonda, TV's Dobie Gillis, and intercut duets by Nat King Cole and Stubby Kaye... Still is funny today.

As for TV... for me the discussion starts and ends with HBO's Deadwood.
    More later,
    Tour...
