Gladiator Blu Ray Remaster

I noticed Best Buy has this Blu Ray on sale this week for $21.99. Can anybody confirm that this isn't the OLD remastered with reported problems in the picture related to Digital noise and EE? How does one tell if the disc is the corrected remaster? I noticed the Box's do say 2-Disc set but they also have Yellow UPC codes which goes against everything I've read on the net.

    After you purchased the disc, call Paramount customer service at 323-956-3010 to verify if it's the old version. They'll ask you to read the code located on the disc's inner ring.
    I called in last year, mine was verified as the "bad" version, and I was instructed to send only the main disc to:

    On of my all time favorite movies. I have it on DVD and should go pick it up on Blu ray.

    Ok, free bump for great advice here. I called the Paramaount line today, and will be sending my disc off tomorrow. Apparently it is an early version.

    And FYI, there was a message for Saving Private Ryan as well. Makes me wonder if that BR is also bonked in early print.

    And finally, the updated # is:

    Isn't there a way to tell BEFORE you buy the disc, or is it required to buy the disc first in the hopes you got the remaster and then call for a secret code to find to confirm it??

    H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.

    He did ask me at the beginning of the call if my barcode on the back of the package was white or yellow. Mine is white, so maybe yellow=good?
