I own a WDTV. So I rip the demo quality scenes from my DVDs onto my hard drive. Then I 'assemble' them into 1 continuous demo. I have 2 that I keep on my hard drive. One with movie scenes & the 2nd with concert clips. Excellent demos to suit most tastes.

wow! I just watched u-571 on blu-ray, and it was amazing. I've been going down the list of "show off" movies, trying to tune my system and i think i've got it. There is a LOT of low end in this movie, and i highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
Next up....... terminator salvation, and as soon as it comes out....... jurassic park.

I always liked the old "THX" splash screen. Those synth strings slowing going into tune always gave me chills!

I've heard a lot of good things about 'Flight of the Phoenix' on blu-ray. It just happens that it showed up in my mailbox today! I can't wait to do a stacked A/B comp of my PSW10 and my new sub that should arrive Tuesday!

The pod race scene in Star Wars Episode 1 is fantastic in 7.1
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

I posted this somewhere else, but no joke shrek forever after is one of the most immersive blu rays I have ever heard. Incredibly dynamic, and crystal clear. Plus its in 7.1 if you have the setup for that (I do not and it still sounded awesome).

I gotta go with Polkie2009... Inception is one of the most impressive tracks I've heard in a while, not just for surround use but for some low-trolling sub-testing bass. Even the score in that movie has some low notes that will pressurize the room. Damn fine mix! (Plus, the Blu-ray comes with an isolated 5.1 score in DTS-MA, which is FANTASTIC!)

Another recent flick that bears mentioning: How To Train Your Dragon. Tons of surround use, some serious LFE, and an amazingly entertaining flick. Definitely a must-own Blu-ray, IMHO.
    Equipment list:
    Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR
    Emotiva XPA-3 amp
Polk RTi70 mains, CSi40 center, RTi38 surrounds, RTi28 rears and heights
SVS 20-39CS+ subwoofer powered by Crown XLS1500
    Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player
    DarbeeVision DVP5000 video processor
    Epson 8500UB 1080p projector
Elite Screens Sable 120" CineWhite screen

"Inception" was the first bluray movie I watched after setting up the Antimode 8033S sub eq I bought from suprafantx . I started the movie and it seems like in the first scene there's this barely audible low____ rumble and idiot me, I'm thinking,I must not of set up something right with the new sub eq. Boy was I wrong, it was doing what it does, and very well at that.:)

Trust me when I say that you don't want to see hi-def ****, especially on a projector screen. It's like you're about to be eaten by a giant manta-ray!
