If anybody cares what my 2 cents are concerning this pre, I personally give it two thumbs up. It's quiet, offers an excellent sound stage and a great overall sound. I have heard this in two different locations with a couple of different sets of speakers. It has absolutely no issues whatsoever and it comes from a reputable seller. If you are looking for a tubed pre, I do not think you would be disappointed at all in this nice little unit.

If memory serves me correctly, this was in use after the Dodd MLP and has been in the rig a couple of years. That's saying something with George as he goes through more gear than Lightman1 does women. I'm kinda surprised that this is still here.

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,, I'm just gonna put it on A'gon and see what happens,,I think the 'lowered gain" has people concerned,,what it means is the you can use more voulme control ,unlike most pre-amps,,you can take this one to 5-6 o'clock. It is by far the quietest pre I've ever owned. Oh well.

It does have the BDR cone feet,,I think I forgot to mention that..GEC 6x4 rectifier,,Siemens silverplate,,and some other au7's for rolling in the "middle" tube position.

Eh, I like the lower gain. The Dodd does this as well [compared to the other pre's I've had] and when you need to find that "perfect" volume level, it's easier to find. I did not have any issue whatsoever in getting this unit to go loud enough and it still had room to go the times I listened to the Mini.

It is sold,,but it's a "linestage" pre--which allows you to use CD/DVD,and other "sources",,it does not have a phono stage.Thanks.
