It's time to move on so I thought I'd put this puppy up here first. This is not the stock unit. It's one that has been modded by Mr Tom Tutay,,gain is 9dB,, input/output impedence is 200 ohm,,and you may use a host of tubes in the middle tube position, making it a tube rollers dream.Four input/two output version. It will come with a Sylvania 6x4 rectifier,,and some various 12AU7's to get you started.BDR cones .The tube rolling recipe's are many for this unit.I have the owners manual and possibly the original box. Here's a few pic's.I'll add better ones this evening. Thanks for looking.
Edit--cannot upload pic's at this time for some reason, unit is silver faced and I'd rate it a 9.
Here's a link to some pic's

Hi George, I'm interested in talking to you about your preamp but the system will not let me PM you with out 10 posts. I do have 5 posts (very prolific posts I might add ) but none the less, not enough to send a PM.
Not sure how to contact you without leaving my email here. I'm
reluctant to do that as I'm sure you can understand.
Maybe you could try PM'ing me?
Thanks

If there is any concern regarding Doucanoe I will vouch for him, I know him from AudioKarma where he has a stellar reputation and many more posts than here.
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -

Just a note,, this one has 4 pairs of inputs--two pr outputs--the upgrades were done per Tom Tutay,,power supply,,dB lowered,,and opens up tube rolling options for the middle tube position. One just recently sold on another site--same as mine only 3 pairs of inputs though--same price.JC approves....he told me so. Last bump before I put it on A'gon. Thanks for looking.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

How about 700 shipped--I think thats a better CP price.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

Price lowered to 625.00 (Polk Only) shipped--and comes with a Siemens 12AU7 "silverplate" that I got from Brent Jesse.Remember--this unit has 9dB of gain(lowered) by Tom Tutay--4-07--GEC 6x4 rectifier,,and variuos 12AU7's for tube rolling in the middle position. The Siemens alone is a 100 dollah tube.I'm selling this caise I need more gain Scotty.JC approves....he told me so. I've spent time with my ears on one of those. It's a decent pre in stock form, gotta be even better modded.Political Correctness'.........defined

Looks like it's not going to work. I've tallied up my complete system gain and 9db is far too low. Man, I'm learning some interesting things about preamplifiers... maybe I should start a thread to discuss these things.design is where science and art break even.
