Replacement binding posts for R50/R150

I am trying to source some replacement binding posts for an R50 and R150. The only difference between the two is that R50's are gold plated and the R150's are not. I called Polk CS and was told that the binding posts are not available as a separate part and I would have the buy the whole crossover assembly. I'd rather not do that. The Polk binding posts are not standard binding posts as far as the mounting goes, unfortunately. This is making it hard to me to source some.

I have included some pictures which show what they look like. The part that goes through the plastic plate is a 1/2" long, 1/8" wide thread. It is secured on with a nut, and this is also what makes the connection to the crossover. In addition, on the back of the binding post it has some ribbing to keep it from spinning once secured.

As far as aftermarket binding posts go, the smallest mounting size I can find has 1/4" wide thread. This would require drilling of the plastic plate as well as finding a different way to connect the post to the crossover assembly. Worst case, I can find a way to make these work, but I would prefer not to.

Thanks for any help!

Hmm. The site doesn't list any specs on it, however, a reviewer mentions it is a .147" stud. This is much closer to 1/8" (.125") than the 1/4" (.250") studs I found everywhere else. It may take a small amount of drilling, but I think this could work. The pictures don't show whether it has the ribbing to keep it from spinning like the Polk ones do, so I hope they do.

    Thanks!

I have R50s as well, and I noticed the high end (especially cymbals), etc. were not coming through at all (they were all going through my surrounds and center). As it turns out, one of my binding posts is broken as well and the connection seems to be less than optimal. Did you notice anything like this? How's it going with the replacement parts?
