I agree, they were horrible. If anyone thought any part of the BEP half time show was ok then it's time for you to move up to a Bose and mp3 combo system. Heck, I was hoping for Mr. Lindo to bust his **** or something. That would have been more entertaining.

Eh, flavor of the month. If you think about it, the sound engineers sucked first and foremost, horrible. I give the group props for a), not lipsyncing, 2), editing out the profanity in their songs, and D), not putting forth some political agenda or trying to make the front page with a vag flash or some such.

They performed, they entertained (not me, but my 8 yr old step daughter liked it), that's it. Mainstream music, spoon fed, the order of the day.

I have to dissagree with you on the political message.....sam.i.am changed the lyrics....remember the part where he used The Presidents Name. It clearly didnt make headlines, and for the most part it didnt bother me, but i hate when artists throw their political opinion into their songs.

I like how people all the sudden are trying to judge a performance by the Black Eye Peas MUSICALLY, as if there was some sort of expectation going in that they'd bring any sorty of musical talent to the stage. It's American pop music, what do you expect? Of course it's gonna suck, that's because it's all about image and much more about the visuals than the music itself, and it's been like that for years.

We all know this, so why are people shocked? If you want to start down that road, then you need to go back alot further than this single performance, we've got entire decades of music like this...

I can't comment on the show itself because every halftime show I've seen is crap and I quit watching them, so maybe this one was just absurdly bad, but I can't imagine it being any worse than one of their concerts...

I've seen the Black Eyed Peas live on TV now about 4 times and each time they have sound bad. Like so many other bands out there ,they work better in a studio where recording technology can do the magic. Last year's performance by The Who was terribly embarrassing. And Christina's performance was disappointing to say the least.

That's not how I saw it.....anything but. Have you ever seen them live?
