The Black Eyed Peas should break up immediately and never perform again.

Worst halftime show ever....

Eh, flavor of the month. If you think about it, the sound engineers sucked first and foremost, horrible. I give the group props for a), not lipsyncing, 2), editing out the profanity in their songs, and D), not putting forth some political agenda or trying to make the front page with a vag flash or some such.

They performed, they entertained (not me, but my 8 yr old step daughter liked it), that's it. Mainstream music, spoon fed, the order of the day.

I don't see what the issue was? I've seen em live a few times since I was 16 ('96) and I thought the performance was pretty decent for a half time show. Theyre more about club atmosphere and I think they brought it. Fergie definitely doesn't have the greatest singing voice ever but overall i think it was good. The mashed a bunch of singles which i thought was good. the dancers were good. the show was good, just not high quality. but its the half time show. when has it ever been high quality? Do you remember the Who last year? Even the Boss wasn't great in '09

I haven't watched a SB halftime show in years. I know going in it will be overblown, over produced fluff...and probably not any good. No point in watching something like that. Time better spent doing ANYTHING else.

Yes it sucked but I have seen far worse live performances by Fergie than this one was. Very few pop stars can sing mary had a little lamb in tune to be honest.

How someone can defend that abomination is beyond me. You can tell that auto-tune has taken over the business when bands like this go live and sound like out-of-tune banshees. They put on a fun show I guess, but musically? Good God that was TERRIBLE.

I thought it was kind of fun and entertaining myself.. but the Sound Engineers should be just flat out embarassed. Regardless of whether or not you like this type of music, the Sound Engineers just made it worse by not even having the mics leveled properly.

    Okay,

I have taken a day to process everythign musical I heard last night. Regarding the Black Eyed Peas - They were on stage for 15 minutes - I believe they performed two of their songs, one Guns and Roses Song with Slash, and one song with Usher. I find it hard to believe they couldn't find a group that enough of their own stuff that they could perform. At least other performers and bands in the past performed all their own music and had enough good music that they could do that. Next - there are what - four performers on stage. I don't believe I heard even ONE bit of harmony. Everything was unison singing - together, or singing one at a time, the same notes. I have third grade classes that can sing in two part harmony and do a decent job at it.

Well, at least their chests were glowing. That was kind of nice.
