Congrats. Imagine how good the pack would be if they could run the ball. Scary good.

Now go shove some sharp cheddar up your kazoo, 'cause tomorrow morning we're all undefeated again.

    Cheers,
    Russ (of the Steelers Russes)

Ben, the 4th most hated QB in the League behind Favre, Vick, and Brady??? Tom Brady hated more than Ben...seriously??

In any case. Congrats to the Packers...they were my pick. I had the score wrong though?

Yeah, congrats to you cheeseheads up north. Steelers beat themselves. 3 turnovers..wtf. Plus that missed FG was by a frickin' mile...not even close. Rogers loves to throw that slant in the middle, you'd think they would have found a better way to take it away from him. Well, at least Cleveland can say they beat the superbowl champs.

Seriously, what was up with that facemasking call? I mean I sympathize that it has to be tough to officiate a game that every football fan in the country (and then some) is watching, but there seems to be ridiculous calls like this in every Superbowl.

Anyway, glad the Pack won, but the Steelers really did kill themselves with the turnovers.

I live in a relatively small city in Wisconsin and after the game I took my puppy out for a poddy break in the backyard....I heard and saw all sorts of fireworks going off and people cheering. It was great.

Enjoy it out in Colorado! Way sweeter than 96' for me since I didn't expect it. James Starks is a big reason we got here.

How could you not expect it, they were favored right? I believe they were also the favored team coming into the season along with the Cowgirls down here in Big D. I'm just curious, I've heard several people say how big of a surprise it was and all, and best I can remember they were favored coming into the season and the game.

Also, every time I see Ben Roethlesberger that skit from SNL immediately comes to mind for some reason...
Sean Connery: "I'll take the rapists for $100"
    Alex: "That's therapists"
That whole skit is funny as hell

Agreed... the Packers didn't beat the Steelers as much as the Steelers beat themselves.

You should probably just stop commenting on football. Stupid comments by you week in and week out.

The Packers beat the Steelers big time. 5-7 huge dropped on the money passes by Packers WRs, one that would have gone for a 80 yard TD, kept a phenomenal QB performance from being one of the best of all time. If anyone was beating themselves, it was Green Bay.

I know you're a Viking fan at all, but you could at least let your fandom subside when talking about the actual game because you look like an idiot.

It's called creating turnovers which the Packers do very well. To think the Lucky Packers got this far without many key players. That says alot about the teams they beat then.....

I don't see the big deal here. You're a Packer fan, he's a Viking fan. Why does the fact that your team won and his team lost (both things with which neither of you had any involvement or control over) suddenly enforce your opinion or invalidate his.

It just seems like an arbitrary thing by which to measure the validity of either of your opinions. It's about as arbitrary as me bashing my friend when he thought it was going to be sunny outside today and I thought it was going to be cloudy and I happened to be correct - its something neither of us have any control of, so what's the point in arguing about it (unless of course we're meteorologists and we're competing to see who's better at their job of predicting the weather)?

I get the good natured gloating and such between friends, but clearly that's not the case here.

It doesnt, but I agree with him. I've seen twice in this thread of people trying to take away from the Packers win by saying the Steelers beat themselves.

3 turnovers? If I remember right, the first was caused by Ben getting hit as he threw the ball, the 2nd was ripped from the receivers hands while he was catching it, and the 3rd was because someone brought the hammer. They weren't stupid mistakes, they were forced turnovers in every since of the word. Not a fumbled snap or a plain bad throw.

And like Demi said, number 87, Nelson?, missed KEY passes...like 4? of them. One was that had a very good chance of being a TD, another that would have kept a drive alive. There was also a BS 15 yd facemask penalty they over came as well.

The Steelers missed a field goal? They still lost by 6. It might have had SOME effect on the momentum of the game, but I doubt it.

The PACKERS BEAT THE STEELERS. They were the better team last night.

I thought it was a great game. In the 3rd quarter, I had no idea who was going to win...and it came down to the final minute of the game to see who was going to win.

    Oh, I'm a Titans fan.

There's a big difference between talking trash between rival teams and not knowing what the hell you're talking about when it comes to the game of football. I talk trash about Bears and Vikings fans/players all the time. I also comment on the games themselves and analyze the plays on the field honestly, regardless of team.

I think Bill Bellichick is a giant douchebag, but I respect that he's the best coach in the NFL. I think Brett Favre is a giant douchebag, but I respect that he took that Viking team to the NFC Championship game in 2009.

On the game, nooshinjohn doesn't have a clue what he's talking about, or he's feigning ignorance intentionally. I could care less, he's coming off like a clown.

Anyone with a brain in their skull that analyzes that game will come to the conclusion that Green Bay outplayed the Steelers in all aspects of the game, and if anything, let all of the dropped passes keep the Steelers in a game they were NEVER in from the missed opportunity on the muffed kickoff.

    Go Pack!

It was a great first half for the Pack, and a great effort in the 4th to keep the lead. IMO, the only time you can say "they beat themselves" is when your team has a lot of dropped balls and missed catches (like the Packers). I think that a defense getting interceptions and causing fumbles is just them playing great defense.

The Packers' D played an overall great game. They lost their momentum after losing 2 of their 3 main defensive players (Shields and Woodson) at the half.
