No interest in the Yamaha? This unit is a killer SACD/DVD-A player! Will even throw in Dark Side of the Moon, Brain Salad Surgery, Rumors and Everything Must Go.

I want Doc to buy it and then do a shootout with the 2900. Hey you can always re-sell it and keep the discs! It's on my wish list list, but the amp must come first.

    Fireshoes,

I was just reading the thread on Doc and was thinking the same thing. 2300/2900 shootout..would love it! To get off the subject a little here, I too would read anything that was posted by the Doc. He and Mantis are chock full of info and I did not let anything pass with there name associated with it. Polkatese also comes to mind as well as.......,...........,............,..........,.............,............,..........,..........,.........,.........,...............,............,...............you get the idea.

    Greg,
thanks for the complement, bud! I am just an agent of information...I am interested in getting your transparent component if you still has it. Please email me: polkatese@verizon.net

    Thanks, greg!
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I just might! it is such a joke around here...What ticked me off the most is, there are so many looneys on the candidate list. Oh well, freedom of speech at its best!

Greg, got your mail and YGM!

Call me crazy but I would vote for Larry in a heartbeat! Just from the standpoint he is a known fighter and has dealt with some huge special interest groups and at the same time protected our right to freedom of speech. The whole freedom of speech thing may have been secondary to his primary goal or interest but often times we see huge benefits result from dysfunction.

sorry to hijack the thread and perhaps it would be fun to start something in the off topic side of the house.

    Greg,

Just wanted to let you know that I got the Transparent Bi-wires in today UPS ground in perfect condition. Thanks for taking the time to meticulously and carefully package the wires. I thought I was unwrapping a christmas present! The way you made those tie wraps and wrapped all the banana plugs was too much!!

thanks again man and best wishes and best of luck on your endeavors. I trust that you will not be a stranger on the forum and will be still lurking around until you can build another rig.

I also wanted to make it publicly know to buy from Greg with confidence. First class - class act of a gentleman. He's got some incredible deals left here.

I am interested in Greg's Transparent Music link Plus interconnects. I already cleaned Dan out and was about to clean Greg out but I don't want the title of "Transparent Thief" or "Transparent Bogart Dude" or "The Cajun that TOOK the Transparent" etc. For $120 / pair the plus are really a steal. I'm really thinking hard about buying them but want all to have a fair chance at them. If I do get them in a couple of weeks, I may sell my regular musiclinks for $75 / each if anyone is interested.

    Paul,
Thanks so much for the compliment. I appreciate it greatly but it takes two to tango and you my friend helped make this transaction an easy experience. Let us know what you think of them. And yeah I will be lurking around here. So much to be learned on this forum...even when you are "rig-less"

Sweet deal on those too Greg. You are one heck of a cool dude... I love the biwires on the Rotel man as sure as you did. Many many thanks.. I know that you will be there or better one day again man.. Paul,

The Tranparent Musiclinks are still available..just didn't have them listed because Polkatese and yourself expressed interest in them and I thought I would hold them for you guys for a couple weeks.

Thanks for the compliment bud! I really, really, really do miss my setup. I still have the Harman and RTxxxi setup but man it just doesn't even come close musically to the Rotel/LSi/Tranparent. Don't really know what the future will be for us financially but jeez I'm gonna do everything in my power to replace what I had...exactly what I had!

Paul glad you enjoy the biwires. Just curiuos, what did you replace with them?

Greg, the biwire replaced single run Transparent Musicwave with Transparent jumpers (non-biwired) on the LSi 15. I moved the single runs to the two channel rig with the LSi 9. Yes, the bi-wire do sound a bit better to me.

Interestingly, and I was kind of surprised at this I prefer the single run Transparent with the jumpers better than the IXOS Super Gamma 7 biwire I had on the nines. Cleaner, clearer, truer... especially at the higher volumes even though it isn't biwired anymore.

    TonyPTX,

Yeah, it is still available bud. The cat5's are here too..somewhere! The attic looks like a war zone since we have enough items to fill two housholds in one house and the cat5's got buried. The Panamax is safe and sound however.

Hey Greg, the Rotels are beyond words. I'm enjoying my music collection so much now that I think I am losing my hearing. (I am developing a ringing in my ears.:( And I can't hear my wife when she wants me to do housework :D)

Thanks for having them so well packed, I was amazed that there wasn't a dent in its trip from east coast USA to West coast Canada.

Saw the Rotels in your system showcase...Miss the hell out of them but it sounds like they are getting good use where they are. Here is a forum for ya to check out if you haven't already..a must for Rotel owners:
