Panansonic 65VT25 Set Up Questions

We took the plunge tonite and purchased the last Panny 65VT25 in the Chicago wherehouse. It comes with the Avatar 3d bonus package and the Panasonic DMP-BDT107 3D BDP. It will be delivered next weekend. I will be counting down the days till next Saturday !!! However, now I have some set up questions and challenges.....

1) Is the BDT107 a worthwhile BDP? Don't want to spend big bucks on an Oppo, but should I invest in something better? Recommendations?
2) The BDP107 only has one HDMI output. Since the SC07 is not 3D capable and I'm not planning on upgrading my AVR, I'll need to run a HDMI 1.4 cable directly to the VT25. What is the best option for sending the HD sound to the SC07 other than HDMI without loosing any quality? Digital cable, optical, or upgrade to a BDP with dual HDMI outputs?
3) If I upgrade to dual HDMI's, can I connect a 1.3 cable to a 3d BDP just for the audio, since I'm running the video through the other HDMI to the VT25?
4) The BBB (Best Buy boy) was telling me I need a HDMI cable capable of 600hz. Is that true? The 600hz is internal to the VT25, not transferred from the BDP to the VT25, so is this really important? Just want to make sure I'm not missing something.
5) I'm not a big fan of extended warranties on electronics, but this is also a big purchase. Is it worth $500 for four years coverage???

Your PS3 also does 3D but doesn't do the HD audio while in 3d mode. Congrats on your new TV and Rotel amp.

OK, so I've answered questions 3 & 4 on my own. So long as I'm using a high speed HDMI cable I'm good for 3D and forget the 600hz cable requirement.

However, I'm still looking for suggestions on the other questions....

And an additional question - Since the SC07 doesn't process HDMI video signals and just passes them through, does it matter if its a 3D signal or not? I assume the pass through circuitry in the SC07 is all high speed rated, correct? So shouldn't it just pass the the 3D signal through? What makes a SC37 3D capable thats different from the SC07 ???

    1) the Panasonic player is fine. No need to change that.
2)Start planing your upgrade if you want to use 3D and HD audio. The difference between the SC-07 and SC-37 is 1.3 to 1.4 HDMI and 3D. If you want this , buy the SC-37 or step down to the SC-35 if your not using all the features of the SC-37 offers. Sell the SC-07 as it still has great value .
    3) You can get a Dual HDMI out player but this is a bandaid.
4)All you need for cables is a cable that passes HDMI 1.4 High Speed 3D with ethernet and audio return. This is the lastest spec and if your going to buy cables , get the lastest version. HDMI in my opinion sucks **** as I'm so sick and tired of all these changes over such a short period of time. The cable should have been built correctly from the get go with no options. All HDMI cables should meet all spec's now and into the future or change the damn cable to something else. Sorry I'm forever pissed at HDMI I wish it would die.
5)yes get the warranty , your TV could fail and it's not cheap to repair or replace. $500.00 is worth it. Do the math.
