Who's excited? THIS GUY IS!

Silva vs. Belfort. Griffin vs. Franklin. Bader vs. Jones.

Those are really the only ones i care about. My picks:

Belfort: Mainly because i'm not a Silva fan, and i'd like to see someone else be at the top for once. Though i would like to see Okami fight Silva in the next 185 title fight.

Franklin: Because he's underrated, and a bad dude. I also don't think that Griffin will be able to stick to his advantage: Reach. Get in the clinch, get uppercutted by Franklin, end fight.

Bader: He's looked better and better every fight, he's fast, and HUGE, with great wrestling.

YES!!!!!!!!!! I've been waiting for this one for a while now.

Silva is so beast it's ridiculous. While cocky, I can't think of anyone that would give him a real run for the money except GSP (and yes, they'd have to meet in the middle as far as weight goes.)

I like Silva b/c his Muay Thai is about as strong as I've seen from anyone in the UFC. If he gets you in the clinch, you are most likely screwed/going down from that incredible barrage of knees.

Ehhh... i still think GSP would be fine at 185. He drops a lot of weight to the best of my knowledge to get to welterweight. That said, Silva looked fine at 205 anyways.

The fight i'm REALLY most interested in is the Griffin/Franklin fight. What way do you see that going?

I'm waiting for my brother-in-law to let me know if he's getting it. I'm a Franklin guy. Griffin is a knucklehead that blocks punches with his face....i still wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley after stealing his wallet.

Agreed, I think either guy could move up/down and you'd have the best fight the UFC has ever seen. My humble opinion of course.

As far as Griffin/Franklin goes, I'm guessing that's going to be a joy to watch as well. I can see them going toe to toe till somebody just drops. My prediction: Griffin by decision for the win in a hard fought competition.

My bias towards Silva speaks for itself

Silvia is going to win this fight as Belfort is not gonna handle the precision of Anderson's striking. I would like to see Belfort win this but I don't think he has the right tools. Shale looked great but got caught in the triangle which he should have tried to hang on and he would have won that fight but a true champion finds a way to win and Anderson did.

Franklin should beat Forrest as he's a better fighter. I love Forrest and like to see him win but this is a bad fight for him. Stranger things happen but we shall see.

Bader is going to lose. He's a great wrestler but guys have you been watching this young kid Jones? He does some crazy stuff in the ring and he seems to get better and better each fight. HE destroyed Brandon Verra and he should not have. Bader has a seriously tuff fight in front of him , I don't see it going his way.

    With Mantis on this one.

But I have to say this is one of the better cards the UFC has put out in a while. I personally would like to see Silva lose, and I thought the Bader/Jones fight should have been the co-main event.

    Two amazing fights.

Bader vs. Jones was something to see. That Jones dominated Bader was amazing. I thought Jon would win but not like that. Not that he is not capable of it, I just thought that Bader was a real good match up between them. Amazing that Jones now gets Rua next. He really deserves the chance.

Silva vs. Belfort....wow. I hate Silva....I really do. But its hard any more. He is just so diverse its amazing.

I don't particularly like him either but it is good that you recognize the talent.
Really well rounded, and has pretty much earned everything he has, the hard way.

That was a well placed, well executed kick but the surreal part is that Steven Seagal trained him on that kick. Nice to hear that if/when GSP gets past his next opponent, he will move to middleweight to fight Silva.

Well, i certainly didn't call anything right, did I?

The kick by Silva was pretty impressive, to say the least. Still don't like him. Sick of seeing him dominate.

The Franklin/Griffin fight was a letdown for me. Not that much action, really from either fighter. Rich looked like he was still favoring that left arm, whether it be from habit during the healing process, or he hurt it again, who knows. He wasn't going to win that fight as a one-handed fighter, so i wasn't real surprised at the outcome. Forrest didn't impress me either. At all. How you can spend almost an entire round on top of someone and not deal any damage is just... sad.

Franklin needs to bulk up a little if he's going to be serious about 205. He didn't look much smaller than Forrest, and he seems to still have a little more punching power, but when you've got some dude laying on top of you that weighs 20-30lbs more than you, it's not a great situation. I don't know why he didn't bulk. When he was first with the UFC, he was a 205, and he was significantly bigger then than he is now.

I was surprised by Bader vs. Jones. Not necessarily because of the outcome, but because that Jones seemed phsyically stronger, and i KNOW Bader is ridiculously strong.

The other person that really impressed me was Paul Taylor. Now that he's in 155, i think we're going to see a run at the title for him. His striking is just jaw-dropping, and that KO was BRUTAL.
