Thanks to everybody for their well wishes.

I would have responded sooner but I had to attend a viewing this morning for a friend whose aunt died on Monday. I haven't asked what she passed away from and nobody volunteered. We grew up together so I've known his aunt for long time. She would have us over for dinner after fishing trips down the Jersey Shore. I last saw her in December for my friend's wife's grad school graduation party.

Friends are hard to come by and even harder to lose. We don't always do 'everything' we should but that doesn't mean the loss is any easier. Sounds like you had one of those. And words can't do much there. But it's all that we have sometimes.

Take care. Also sorry to hear about your friend's aunt. Most of my parents generation has either died or is dying. Life/death...we ALL know the drill.

    Take care.

John, sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. My condolences. I lost both of my best friends when I was young. It's never easy and always hurts. Somehow time eventually heals.

Really sorry to hear about your friend and you lost a good bud. He seems a good and stand up guy for you.

I would recommend throwing a punch on the face for his honor though. I know you'll feel a lot better after getting a hit from him.

    Very sorry for your loss.

I had a friend pass away from cancer too. He made his wife promise not to tell anyone so we were all shocked by his passing (he lived in DC).

I have some great memories of him and am glad I got to know him.

Here's to people like Kevin and my friend who make our time here better!
