Brand new in box, Unopened, full-warranty Sony BDP-CX7000ES Megachanger. This is not the basic one, but the Elevated Standard model, which includes IR and RS232.

Store all your Blurays, DVDs, and CD's in this 400-disc player and let the unit keep track of them for you. When connected to a network via the Ethernet port, this player will download metadata on all your discs from the internet, providing you album art, title, actors, year, etc. Then you can search by any of those methods.

For more info, see this link:
http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10551&langId=-1&productId=8198552921665925651

I ordered this through a special Sony dealer promotion, but won't be using it. My asking price... $1000 off retail! $899 + shipping

Ugggghhh...........I can't believe I'm considering this......I was getting ready to go for the Oppo 93. I need to know if the difference in quality between this and the Oppo is significant.

Wow man , this is a fantastic player , I install them all the time and I want to get one myself. I have a Sony DVD 400 disc mega changer I'm gonna move as I want to replace it with this. Timing is wrong for me right now but damn If I had the money I would but it right now.
Rs232 control is fantastic. The player is fast for a mega changer and having the Ethernet port is priceless. I love this player. It's big and manly .
Unles you go with a Kaleidescape Movie server , this is the next best thing.

Excellent price man , Joe grab it before I piss my wife off.

Please post in the WTB section then.

Looks like Joe is going to hold off, at least for the immediate future. I can ship this tomorrow if necessary! Paypal preferred.

the WTB section is where you post up an ad for something you Want To Buy. e.g. I want to buy some SACDs, so I made a thread in the WTB section to tell people who have them that I'm looking for them.

That's an epic changer Dane. Good luck with your sale!

    So anyway...

How about this player? Am I going to end up getting impatient and opening the thing? I'm sure if I do I won't end up selling it. For those of you with overflowing DVD shelves--think about how much this would help clean up your clutter!

Thanks Dane for sending me the dvd player. I know that I am a newbie but I really appreciate it. Next stop is the Request Media Server and their IMC pieces with a blu ray connection kit so I can put the Sony dvd on to it. If anyone has any ideas or different product I should be looking for please feel free to let me know......
