    Update:

I swapped around ICs and noticed a big difference.

    ICS:
    Bens ICS (B&W)
    Ultimate silver series c4

Bens are silver cables that brighten up the dyns just enough to sound just right.
While using the ultimate cables with the dyns they are missing something. The Ultimate cables are made of even amounts of copper and silver.

The opposite effect happened with they tylos. Bens seem to make them alittle to sterile while the Ultimates give them alittle more transparency that makes them more involving.
Its amazing how much cables can make a difference when using quality gear.
    Different strokes for different speakers.

    Conclusion:

Well I been movin, swappin, tilting, and listening.
Tys are beautiful in person, they are really top quality furniture grade gear. Listening wise they are like being in the studio with the band your listening to. Very true to the music. Soundstage is huge! Compared to the dyns they are definately different. The dyns have more bass and more transparency, like your inside the music while the tylos your not inside the music but the band is in your living room playing in front of you. The tylos have the more natural bass. They both sound great really, but I do like the tys more because of the accuracy of the reproduction and the physical beauty of them. They put the dyns to shame in this looks dept. This does make me curious to see what more expensive dyns sound like. How "3D" does it get? lol I can see why people would prefer the magic the dyns produce vs the natural reproduction of the tys. I might be one of them, time will tell....

Listen to them for a week. I've learned that quick comparisons don't let you really have a good overall evaluation when they are so close (from what I understand there is no WOW factor...just subtle differences here or there). If after a week you don't "miss" anything, you're good to go.

I am surprised to see the picture. Didn't expect that much of a difference in size.

Yes Ricardo you are right. My ears go through different phases also where sometimes they are really tuned in to listening and sometimes they are not.

I just played Call of Duty in 2 ch and wow! The realism is rediculous! I actually got startled when someone came around the corner and knifed me lol.

Bright and early this morning I decided to switch the MIT Avt-3 speaker cables with 8' Tekline biwired all copper cables. And they took me from analyzing the music to actually enjoying it. Copper wires really seem to blend well with the tys. While with the dyns it took all the life out of them.

This was my experience also.I couldn't find a silver cable (tried at least a half dozen) that worked as well as my DIY Canare 4S11 copper cables. This was my experience, others may be different.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

I'm running copper on both runs of mine, so our observations are all alike. No complaints here.

any updates? FWIW,, I started on my 7U crossovers yesterday,, not sure if I'm gonna go with Sonicaps in the mid-bass or Auricaps,,I might leave the Hovland alone,,or replace it with an Auri--(the tweeter cap is a 6uF 100 volt Hovland) and I cannot find a Clarity MR with that value,,closest one is a 6.2uF,,maybe,,maybe not.
JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

I'll start a new thread,,but I got the crossover out yesterday(actually there are 2 boards) relatively easy removal. After shopping around and soliciting advice I'm gonna' use the Clarity caps in this application.I was really torn between Sonicaps , Auricaps and Clarity,,I think that for others wanting to try this upgrade,,,the sonicap offers great bang/buck,,the Auri's are a little more,,and the Clarity's (ESA and MR in my application) were about 400 dollahs,, a tad over 20% of what I paid for them new. Each board uses the Eagle brand resistor,,I'll probabally replace with Mills,,,innaresting to note that Ty used two Bennic electrolytic caps in the network and a Solen 4uf.I'm expecting a huge jump in performance--will I get what I'm expecting? We shall see.
