I'm looking to upgrade to an High current Amp, that doesn't have trouble driving a(Low ohms load) any speaker.. say,a speaker system like the Infinity Kappa 9.. what you say guys? of course, that won't break the bank.

I was in the same boat with some Martin Logans. They would shut down Adcom 555's like they were candy (i had two, tryed both same problems). I picked up an Anthem MCA 20 and couldnt of been happier.

The Anthem was leaps and bounds better than the Adcom in all ways that I could tell, from being able to handle the load from the stats, to the sound quality, just a brilliant amp. You should be able to find one from $5-600 used. I had a custom tube pre on the front end, one of those setup's I should of never sold.

    Good Luck.

B&K Reference 200.2 and many older B&K amps in the 200 watt class are 75 watts PtoP current.

Infinity Kappa 9's are murder on amps, often times they get below a 1 ohm load on some passages and fry your amp. Sunfire load invariant amps work well on those but are pricey.

A great option for any difficult speaker loads.

    Amperes P2P...

I have one. I was shocked at how much that sweet amp could muscle up.

The M6PRX by Musical Fidelity states its 140 current for peak to peak, and 85 amps.

I've heard it before and it was very very nice sounding in the rig it was in. 3400 new, never seen one used before.

Carver Silver 9t or 7t will drive any speaker with ease if you can find a pair.
