IHT 6000 -Remote not Learning

I bought a IHT 6000 and had it set up today. Audio is fine. But i cannot get the remote to learn.

When I press the Learn button on the bar, the orange/red LED blinks. But then it doesnt become a constant blink once i press the up volume button. It goes back to green.

So i cannot proceed after the 1st step to set my remote up.

Try "tapping" the button you want it to learn several times instead of just once in case you were doing that? I found the learn procedure a bit non-intuitive, but was able to get it work. I basically pressed the learn button, then the button on the soundbar that I wanted to control, then quickly tap the button on my non-Polk remote repeatedly until the light started flashing green, then solid green.

1) With soundbar on press and hold the learn button on the front of the bar for 3 seconds.(green light should turn amber and blink)
2) Tap the up arrow on the bar once. Then on TV remote tap the volume up button about once a second eight times.
3) Repeat step 1
4) Tap the down arrow on the bar once. Then on TV remote tap the volume down button about once a second eight times.
5) Repeat step 1
6) Tap Mute on the bar once. Then on TV remote tap the Mute button about once a second eight times.
7) Repeat step 1
8) Tap the power button on the bar once. Then tap the power button on the TV remote following the same process as before.
a. Hopefully if done correctly with the TV remote, you can now control the soundbar.
