You guys have always been a big help...so thanks again in advance

This unit was originally purchased and set aside for a 2chnl rig I am putting together that will have a tube pre and possibly a tube dac, but for now I am tired of looking at it new in the box for the last several months and want to play with it. It will only be used for SACD/CD for music only.

Question is the hook up recommendations should i use:
1)analog L/R for 2 chnl
2)coaxial/optical
3)HDMI

It will hook up to my equipment in my sig

Thanks again

PS: Feel free on any on any recommendation or comments on future 2chnl hookup for the player to Audio Mirror T-61 pre/ and Audio Mirror "TUBADOUR" DAC Mk-II

Too bad your new SC35 doesn't have firewire... That player outputs sacd and dvd-a through them.

A very nice feature is having HDMI out and being able to send SACD and DVD AUDIO over it. But if you have to use analog use good quality .
This hobby will always cost you money. Just get use to it.

For the highest quality SACD playback, always use analog cables. Screw that HDMI garbage.

The firewire connection,or as they say, the I-link, I thought sounded better than the analog connections in my 59avi. If your receiver doesn't support it, analog is the only good option left to you.

I have that unit as well and use it strictly as a CD transport, and it sounds great!

For your intended use, you should use the analog outs. In fact, to play SACD's you must as the Pioneer doesn't output SACD through HDMI or the digital outs.

    Happy listening!

I also own one of these and I swear I've played SACD through HDMI but I could be wrong. I'll check this later on. My preference is always analog but HDMI sounds very decent on DVD-Audio on this unit as well.
