Can't imagine that you'll find anyone here that doesn't think that the GFP-750 is anything but stellar. A highly, highly regarded piece."Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then." Bob Seger

Tubes get far too much chatter most of the time. Nice preamplifier.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Nice indeed,It's a Nelson Pass design using only a single gain stage consisting of a pair of differentially connected Mosfets(when used in active mode)It is essentially an econo version of his Aleph P unit.

Let us know what you think. I own one and really think it's a great pre-amp.

IMO the GFP-750 sets itself apart from any of Adcoms other pre's. It's so much better. -

Seriously though, I've heard nothing but great things about that pre-amp. I'm kind of tempted to build a 2-ch all-adcom setup using that pre you've got.Truck setup

Hello again,
After posting about wanting to possibly upgrade from my Onkyo p-301 to something else. I was looking hard at Adcom GFPs 400-700S and would be a good fit w/ my Adcom gfa 555. Now after so many back and forths it seems most would go w/ the Adcom depending on model and condition w one major exception. I seen Ben really put the kibosh on the Adcom as a pre and THAT i was lucky to have an Onkyo p-301. So guys do I leave well enough alone , money is always a very real problem and would not want to make a bad mistake. If I could get a garage sale find on the cheap I think I would try it, otherwise I'll
leave things as they are. Thanks most respones have been educational and it's nice to yap to like minded people.....LW2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E
