I think it's interesting that Fearless has gotten so much traction; I would think of it as something of an atypical song from "The Pink Floyd" (as they were known in early days). It is evocative of other Floyd songs, but (I think) much less dark in its overall tone.

On the other hand, I note that no one (so far) has nominated San Tropez or Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict as personal faves.

You know what, I changed my mind. Fearless it is, hands down.

From absolute favorite to changed my mind in 14 minutes! PF is a tough one to choose a favorite from... I'm still sticking with TFC, as you had originally stated, front to back. (not often I break out the Cool smiley!)

Final Cut is my favorite ALBUM, as a whole.

Free Four or Fearless were up for grabs on my favorite SONG.

Good choice! That song, also, is on the short list of uplifting Pink Floyd songs.

Speaking of flying... the Airport Diner in Manchester, NH includes amusing (and neatly lettered) fllight-oriented graffiti in its bathroom decor. My favorite: When in doubt, maintain your altitude. No one has ever collided with the sky.

I would have to say, The Final Cut, and almost any track off it, but more so tracks "The Fletcher Memorial Home", then into "Southampton Dock" and to kind of finish it off with "The Final Cut". I know, I know not really just one song, but I couldnt break the three of them up.

Also honorary mention to "One Of my Turns" and "Vera".

My favorite band by leaps and bounds, really is hard to choose a favorite, everytime I think of an album I have a couple new favorites haha.

This is just a comment (not an opinion of my own!)... as I recall, when The Final Cut was released, the reviews were none too kind.

I really don't know the album well, so I really don't have an opinion. I am thinking numerous tracks are on the fairly recent compilation Echoes, though(?).

I can't pick any favorites, but I haven't seen much love for early stuff. So say Interstellar Overdrive, Bike, Let There be More Light, Lucifer Sam. There's some. Also the little piano riff in Us and Them still gives me chills when I hear those few notes. Just give him a quick short, sharp, shock and he won't do it again, dig it. I mean he got off light cause I could have really given him a frashin'.
