Soundbar 6000 Not Responding

We recently purchased a Soundbar 6000 that, up until last night, was working just fine. This morning, however, it would no longer output any sound or respond to any commands. The power LED won't blink when pressing any buttons on the remote or front panel, and the only way to turn it off is by using the power switch on the bottom. It's almost as if it's crashed like a computer.
Our setup includes a Sony Bravia HDTV and TiVO. The TiVO audio goes to the TV first via stereo cables, then to the Soundbar from the TV's optical audio output. The TV's speakers are disabled.
One thing I noticed is that, after turning off the Soundbar, the green light in back of the subwoofer would blink. I didn't pay attention to this light beforehand, so for all I know it does that normally.
One final note: I tried to reset the controller programming by pressing and holding the sync button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. According to the manual, the red LED is supposed to blink orange, but no such thing occurred.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It seems as if the Soundbar is faulty, but I can't help feeling I'm just missing something.
